Anyone use a big block fuel pump in a small block?

I need a dual action vacuum type of fuel pump for my 289 and have not been able to find one. I have a new dual action big block pump which fits late 50's-60's ford big blocks. The levers are not identical, but the pumping action/range and where the lever hits the cam are identical. Only difference being that the 289 pump arm hits the cam at @ a 15-20 degree angle(off engine centerline), whereas the big block pump hits the cam at @ 5 degrees. Other than that, pumps are fully interchangeable. Anyone out there that has the knowledge/ experience or advice on this retrofit? Thanks, Chris

Just curious. Why do you need a dual action fuel pump or the extra vacuum boost? I've got a '55 Ford that had vacuum wipers with the dual action pump but got rid of the pump and switched to electric wipers. Much happier now.

Need the vacuum pump for the wipers. The arms aren't interchangeable. Since I had the new pump laying around, I thought it would be easier to try and use it rather than take out my vacuum wipers and install electric ones in my 62 comet wagon.

I get Mustangs and Fast Fords, but must have missed the vacuum wiper ad. What page is it on? Thanks in advance.

'66-'68 Bronco 289's had vacuum wipers and used a dual action pump. Hope this helps. Allan
