http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...;category=6780

This item is on eBay ... I have (in hand) a BB "truck" bellhousing.

What if any functional difference would you guys think there may be between this bell and my "truck" bell??

Any And All input appreciated

BTW ... it's for my 73 Mach1 for which I am building a 429

HEY LARRY,

FOR 250 BUCKS FUST FOR A BELLHOUSING, I WOULD JUST GO WITH A USED ONE THATS FOR ANY 4SPD MANUAL BELLHOUSING. I'VE SEEN SOME ON EBAY AS CHEAP AS 30 BUCKS. OF YOU CAN BUY NEW FROM P.A.W. FOR SOMETHING LIKE 150.

That guy has some bad info. The car & truck bells are slightly different depths. For the money, I'd use a scatter shield. I have one on my Spoiler & it's paid for itself twice.

Also, the CJ/SCJ bell came with a hole for the mount of the Z bar and the passenger car didn't.

They say you can use the truck bell with an extened pilot bearing but have heard it doesn't hold up for an extend length of time.
