non-roller cam in a 1986 5.0 ?

Have a cam I bought for a 69 302...
Was wondering if I could put this cam in a 1986 roller motor and use the roller lifters...push rods...and rocker arms already in the motor ?

nope. the nonroller cam has a slight taper to spin the flat tappets in their bores.
the roller cam is flat faced because you don't want the rollers spinning in their bores.

You can buy a conversion kit to put a roller setup in a nonroller block, but I'm not too sure about the other way.

Not possible to use the roller lifters on a flat tappet cam, because the steel roller will wear out the cam lobes. If you want to use std. lifters and matching push rods everything should be fine.
