Spark is gone

Trying to get my 68 stang started after sitting a few years. It cranks all day, but will not start. I pulled the coil wire off and held it near the block - no spark. Manual says that means primary circuit problem. Anyone have any ideas how to test it , coil, ign switch, etc? If it means anything, the neutral safety switch was bypassed at some point on this car. It duid run previously, though, when it was bypassed. Thanks - wanna drive it!

After all these years and all the cars, the only time they wouldn't start was traced to either a bad fuel pump or a bad coil. If you're getting fuel and everything under (and including) the distributor cap is O.K., I suspect the coil.

Does it still have points? If so, they are probably corroded after sitting all that time. Try usng a point file or just scraping the contact surfaces. If it sparks, put in new points. Allan
