460 pushrods

I put guide plates and adj studs in my 460 to use my roller rockers now the push rods are not long enough, so I need to know what lenth push rods I should use, the guide plates are manley and the rockers are comp cams stamped steel with rollers. some one must have used this combo, what did you use for push rods

You probably need to get a pushrod length checker and mock up an assembly and order your pushrods based on that test. Comp Cams has a very good instruction for using one on their web site.

The std pushrod length that I have ran across is 8.550". This length in most all cases for mechanical or roller lifters is pretty darn close....

Could they have sent you a set of cleveland pushrods that are 8.450"

If you need some 8.700", I have a set of 3/8" chromemoly and may still have a set of 8.550".
