Rod between brake pedal and master cylinder

I have a modified brake system on my 65 Mustang. Wilwood heavy duty front, Lincoln V disks on rear, and a Corvette master cylinder. I need a slightly longer version of the rod between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. The rod I have measures 6" from the center of the big hole to the tip. I need 6.5". Ford parts man tells me that a C7TZ-2143-C is 7" long (that will work after a touch up with the grinder) problem is its obsolete. Can anyone tell me what its from or suggest what car I can get a rod from thats between 6.5 and 7.5" long.

I made an extension for one by threading a die over the end & using a collar like a tie rod has. If you're careful you could drill & tap it then install allthread between them & make it adjustable that way as well.

What master cylinder are you using? I did the Granada swap on my 65 fastback and used a 1974 non-power maverick master cylinder. the push rod came with it and was about 3/4"-1" longer. It works great.

There are several companies that sell adjustable rods.
