AOD and C-4 slip yoke

Are they the same? I am putting an AOD in my F100 where a c-6 is now and I need a slip yoke for the AOD.

cdeal28078, I have an AOD and a C-4 in my garage and on a whim I took the yoke out of the AOD it fit perfectly in my C-4. In my humble experience, yes.

You'll find the C4 doesn't engage as far. Cut it back about 1" and you're fine.

Use a cut off saw and cut off the end of the yoke approx 1" to 1.5". It's a great and easy conversion.

Thanks for the help everyone. I am hitting the junkyard tomorrow and now I know if I can't find an AOD I can use a c-4 and get by.
I will check to make sure my smallblock C-6 does'nt fit first but bout sure it won't.
