Brake bleeding procedure. :-?

Is there a set way to bleed a new brake syste?. I've changed to disc brakes on the 57 and changed all lines, cylinders and installed the prop valve. I have bench bleed the master cylinder. Now can I gravity fill the lines to start or does it have to be pressure bleed?

You should be able to let it gravity feed. Better yet, get a buddy & just bleed the whole system. Start at the wheel farthest from the mastercylinder & work your way to the closest. I usually do it a couple times until i see no air nor old dirty fluid.

I just got a set of speed bleeders and really like them. Someone posted their website a week or so back.

Another vote for gravity feeding the lines, and bleeding them - starting with the passenger side rear.

I you are doing this alone; you can cut 2x4 to use between the pedal and the wheel. Pump the pedal place the 2x4 in. Top off the reservoir, the bleed the wheel cylinder/caliper.

It is good to reproduce this procedure in a few days for a complete system change as you are doing.
