New Steering Wheel......

Hey Folks,

My steering wheel in my 2000 Crown Vic is falling apart and Ford won't warranty it!!!

I searched around and found one for $40.00 less than my local dealer will sell one but wonder if it requires any "Special Ford" tools to remove and install??

Also, am I gonna BLOW MYSELF UP with the airbag or will disconnecting the battery disable it???

We have a 1988 Crown Vic and the wheel looks like new!!! The whole car seems more solid than the 2000 model......As I said SAD!!![img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img]

If anyone cares...The steering wheel removal was a piece of cake!!!!! The only pitfall was they use a DAMN TORX BOLT to hold it on!!![img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bicker.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bicker.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bicker.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bicker.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bicker.gif[/img]

The good news was it was exactly the same size as the one to remove older GM brake calipers...and I found it!![img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spin.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spin.gif[/img][img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spin.gif[/img]
