429 scj intake manifold on standard heads!!!!

luvs70fords told me that you could use cobra jet intake manifold on standards heads by just using cobra jet intake gaskets. this is correct right?

i just wanna make sure because i have a cobra jet port o sonic intake manifold. is there an advantage possibly doing this? or just a way to make it work?

Yes the is a slight horsepower increase over a standard manifold. I think Ford claimed an aditional 14 HP, with slightly increased torque. I ran the combo for several years. It is enough extra that it can be felt. I changed to an aluminum Edelbrock Performer for weight savings. It does seem to be a little softer as it gets above 3500, but will still pull to 6,000.

the e-mailed me and said the ports are 2 1/8 inch tall and 2 inch side. does this sound like a standard head manifold or a cj?

if its a cj, i would like to get the different gasket now.
