Found a Car!

5R07A154505

65A 7 D6 06L 71 1 1

Found it by a neighbors house. Front end is wrecked. Hood is dented up.

"A" code with the wrong engine although, "C" code is installed.

Instead of a three speed, someone installed a four speed. It also has factory installed front disc brakes.

I am going to try to pressure them into selling it to me to get it off their property. Seams like a good donor car to me!

What do you think it is worth?

Thanks

I don't know what all the numbers mean but if its what you need then go for it.. I'm asumeing its a 65 stang by your signiture. Sound like some of the stuff has be replaced by your post. So all the numbers might not mean a thing. I'd check it over to see what is realy has.

Sorry, its a 65 Mustang Coupe. The disc brakes are there, as is the factory disc brake peddle. I could care less about the engine that is in it. I just want the four speed with all the linkages and peddles etc. The car has lots of body cancer.

I want to convert my Mustang over to a manuel tranny.

All those numbers are the warrenty plate information.

Do you know what size rear it has; 8 or 9 inch? Does it run? Are the brakes in working order or are the calipers frozen? If it has the 4 piston calipers and they need replaced, they aren't cheap. Rotors aren't either if they aren't turnable. Anything else useable or sellable off the car other than the 4speed and brakes?

I gave $500 for a rusted out 68 coupe with no motor a few years ago. But it had disc brakes on the front I used on my 67 and a top-loader 4speed, 3.55 31spline posi nine inch rear, and a descent bench seat interior to salvage.

The rearend is an 8". Which is fine by me, because my 65 has an 8" rear also. It runs good from what the guy says, so I suppose the engine is sellable. The front disc brakes are a single piston. They seemed to be in good working order. The guy who has it crashed it this spring. He 'jimmy' rigged a mazda radiator to get it home. He wanted to buy my old single core radiator from my mustang.

I offered his girlfriend (the owner) $500 for the whole thing. She told me she would think about it. Their other vehicle just slipped a transmition band. So they are kind of desperate for a running vehicle.

Oh yeah, it also has a new exhaust system from the stock manifold back. It also has all the windows. Some idiot busted my rear drivers side quarter window out. See my photos at the link below. Look under the car section.

I would think it would be worth $500; maybe a little more if needed to get them to sell. If the motor runs decent you could always sell it and the rear end and get alot of your money back. Any good interior pieces would be a plus. Also if the wiring is good too. Lots of things to part/sell if you have the place for it and the time to part out.

If it's got single piston calipers on it, they are not factory disc brakes. Probably a granada conversion.
