316 stroker/pistons

I have a 316 stroker crank, will regular pistons have too much skirt for the stroke?

You are going to need custom pistons. i have 5.40 rods in my 306 i needed custom pistons.you might can find a off the self piston with the right combination that you need for the rod/stroke you have.i saw this 324 stroker comb with a stock crank offset-ground to 3.125 stroke. 5.400 chevy rods and a off the shelf chevy piston. so you might can find a off the shelf piston

would'nt 331 stroker sized pistons work? Or am I missing something. (This is my first engine build)

I'm pretty new myself, but my thinking is that pistons designed for a 331 (3.250 crank) would give you much lower compression. Since you're using the same rod length (5.4&quot with less stroke there will be more open space above the piston when it's at the top of its stroke. You want a taller piston to acheive the same compression ratio I believe.
