Aluminum Roller Rockers

I would like to get your opinions on the following aluminum roller rockers:

1. Angus Racing
2. Ford Motorsport
3. Scorpion

Are there any others in the less than $200 category that I sould check out? I've heard some bad things about the geometry of the Crane Rockers.

These will be going on a roller cammed 5.0L with ported d0OE heads guide plates, screw in adjustable studs 1.94 / 1.60 valves which will see up to 7000 RPM.

I run the Crane Energizers on the C and they work well. Harland Sharps are good too and only about $20 more - see Summit Racing or Jegs.

I was leaning toward the Scorpion or the Angus.

Where do you buy these two? I've seen them on e-bay... but I don't think Summit, Jegs, PAW sell them. Summit sells the Harland sharps for just under $200

The Angus Racing rockers are pretty serious pieces if you don't mind the size and weight. They are made in U.S.A. and have HD billet bodies with machined spring reliefs, and oversized bearings and rollers. They are also built with looser tolerances than most street roller rockers to handle minor geometry issues and high rpm heat better. I use them on my TFS heads and they are holding up fine.

yeah, I'm planning to run a solid roller camshaft, unless someone comes along and convinces me otherwise. This is my plan so far:

-D0OE fully ported, 1.94/1.60 valves, guide plates & studs
-302 +.030" bore, ARP rod bolts, fully balanced
-Single plane intake + holley carb
-Solid roller something like a Comp 294s (248* @ .050" lift)

Comp cams reccomends their 986-16 spring set which is a dual spring with the following specs:

296 lb/in overall rate
132 lb pressure @ 1.750 (seat pressure)
280 lb pressure @ 1.250 (open pressure)

At this point, I have not purchased anything except the valves, intake... I'm trying to figure / plan everything out and then I'll start ordering all the parts in the next week or so.

Will I have any problems with a cam / spring combination like that while running these rockers? What would you say the maximum open spring pressure should be with the Angus, Scorpion, and Harland Sharp rockers should be?

The 294S is a solid flat tappet cam.
Have you looked in the classifieds lately?
