tripower cfm ratings

What are the cfm ratings for the FE tripower carbs? What are the cfm ratings for the original 289 tripower setup? I need total and individual ratings. Has anyone used the FE carbs on the 289 manifold?

FE carbs are mostly 330 cfm primary and 350 cfm secoundary carbs. But don't let that fool ya...isn't doesn't equal a total of 1030cfm. Two barrel carbs are rated at 3" whereas four barrels are rated at 1.5" ...... so it actually works out at 728cfm (1030/1.414 = 72 when compared to a four barrel. 428 CJ's came out with a 730cfm four barrel, so it actually works out pretty much the same. Hope that is some help to you.

The answer is.....I might as well answer my own questions 'cause it looks like no one knows...the FE tripower setup for the early 1960s had a total of 720 CFM, the 289 tripower had a total of 615 CFM.

Dave, thanks for the cool links about tripower setups! I have built 3X2 Autolite/Blue Thunder setups using 1.02 carbs rated at 240 CFM and they worked great except for idle adjustments being hard to get to. I have the FE varation of Holleys and found the CFM from an old Ford publication. I think they will work on a 302 with good heads and cam. To frdnut and cmf60 I'm sorry if you felt offended, I meant no harm. I'm a light hearted soul and forget sometimes that others don't see my humour.
