First 1/4 mile run

I ran the cougar using my new G-Tech competition a couple of weeks ago, and forgot to post my results.

I'll first put the time and then the conditions.
1/4: 13.55 @ 98.4
60': 2.297
1/8: 8.916 @ 86.97

Get this though, it was (obviously) traction limited, I spun the tires all of first and started to in second until I let off the gas a bit. Also, when I looked at the G's I pulled in the run, it shows I started to hit the brakes at 12.55 seconds. Evidently, I mis-judged my road and came up on the dead end a little sooner than I had anticipated. At 12.55 I was going 105 mph. So should I have run about a 12.9x? or something if I hadn't let off the gas?
Also, this run was done with BFG G-Force KDWs at about 40 psi. What's a safe psi to run to help with the traction a bit?

(Edit)
I guess I don't have enough space in the sig to write that I'm runnin a T5 Z-spec with a centerforce dual friction clutch and an Auburn Pro Posi 8" with 3.55s.

Go to the track, find out...if you have never been, TRUST ME, you'll have much more fun! Much safer too.

Went to the track here once (Infineon Raceway) at a weekly Wednesday Night Drag, but the track was so slick I was peeling out badly with my pretty much stock 289 with 3.0:1 gears and a C4. That was a couple of years ago. Now they're don't do Wednesday Night drags after late october or something, and they don't do a test and tune, so that's why I got the G-Tech.

I have one too, so don't let me bully you too bad

sacramento has a track here, and I would assume it is a good track beings that the Admins drive down from the bay to race here...

if you are worried about traction get some bew shoes and slip into the at the track, and have fun

Worse case you run what you are running on the Gtech, but you wont have to worry about that ticket, or hurting anyone including yourself This is not a guilt trip by anymeans.

105 is about 12.6~12.8 territory for an optimum setup.

Ckelly, when you say optimum setup, do you mean in street trim, ie radials?

Also, what do you guys think about the tire pressure, would it make a big diffence if I dropped the psi to about 25 or 30? Can't try it out for the next few days, rain.

40psi is too much even for racing use, try 32-34 max. You might be able to go 26-28psi if you watch too make sure the tire doesn't roll over too much. For better 60' times try a lower launch and feather the clutch and acclerator until the rears can hook.

Optimum means for drag setup, a 12.6-12.8 with a sorted drag setup. Work on the launch and the 1/4 times will drop alot.

I have the G-TECH pro and havent been able to test it yet(Rain/snow) How do you like it?Is it worth the 250 i shelled out for it from summit?

How acurate is it?It says 5/100 of a second is the claim. How close is it?

Don't know how accurate it is, haven't run it at the track, but from what I've heard, both from the G-Tech people and from independent reviews, is that it is pretty darn accurate. There isn't really any reason it shouldn't be, once it's calibrated right. It's all physics and math formulas.
