Info on 429 please

Hi
I'm after information on 429ci engines
How much is a complete 1970 429 engine worth? needs freshening being standing a while, standard bore standard crank grind
How much is a pair of SJC heads and inlet manifold from a 429 worth?
What cars were these fitted to in 1970
Are these engines any good what family of engine (ie FE) do they come under.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Al

They were in Cyclones & Montegos' as well. Also the 429T (Thunder Jet) was available in these & Lincolds & T-Birds. There was also a 2 BBL version rated at 320 HP & the only difference is the intake. The SCJ intakes bring about $150.
With a fresh stock engine, a set of headers & a big carb you can run mid-low 13's all day & not use much gas either!

Thanks for info someone has two. One is complete and one is stripped both are 2 bolt. He has extra the SCJ heads and intake. Just trying to wiegh up what they're worth and if they are any good and if I want them. I suspose I may have to look at cast numbers etc on the heads and manifold to check they are what they are.
Thanks again
Al

Numbers on the CJ/SCJ head are D0OE-R, others are C8VE, C8SE, C9VE, C9SE, D0VE, & D0SE. The "S" is Lincoln/T-Bird.

Four barrel 429 was 360 HP, CJ was 370, SCJ was 375. Asusual Ford tended to under rate them.
