N2o Mike and others regarding cooling electric vs. Flex does electric really free up hp??

One more question regarding the fans. Sorry to ask so many and thanks for your advice. Thinking back the reason I put the electric fan in was to perhaps free up some horsepower and of course because it's cool looking. I had no problems with the flex and shroud cooling the car. The final and real question is though, before I score the derale is that does the electric fan really make that much of a difference as far as et and mph??? If it does than I will upgrade to the better electric. If it doesn't than I will go back to the flex fan and the large shroud. Again, I had no cooling issues with the flex and the shroud. At the end of the day if there is no noticable difference from flex vs. electric regarding power than I may put the flex fan back on and scrap the electric. Again thanks Mike or any others that can shed some light on this.

It won't be a 'night and day' difference. If you are comfortable with the flex fan, use it. You 'might' gain 10hp at the top of the rev range with an electric unit over a good flex fan. A clutch fan would be another good idea for a street car.

Good Luck!

electric is the best way to go, most everything rolling off the assimbly line is electric these days. It will free up hp; besides, flex fans are junk. go electric, but not L-cheap-o
