lifting the rear end

Hi guys,

is this ok to do:


I want to lit the car high enough to stick the axle stands, to get the rear end off the car, so i can deal with the unercoating.

That's the way to do it. I'd probably add a 2x or thick plywd. piece between the jack & housing to protect the finish from those 'tongs' on the jack seat. You can dent & scrape a housing through cloth padding if you try hard enough.

Prob. not true with an integral 8.8, now that I look closer at the photo...
