C6 to a T-5 tranny?

Just thinking how much I hate auto trannys what would you guys do? I was thinking before I drop this engine in the car should I off the auto C6 and go for a standard? the car was stock with a standard but when I got it they had the C6 in there... supposed to be new. one thing I cant find is where the clutch goes through the firewall...or does it not do through there? Thanks I will take a look, are all T-5 transmissions the same or if I do the swap what is there to look out for on them.... also is there a conversion kit to fit the 69 mustang fastback? Jeff.

just looked at mine with the engine out, its right across form your steering box opening right up against the fender, there is some good info in the tech department here, Dark Horse and modern drivetrain are a couple web sites that have a complete conversion

just took a look and there is nothing under the master other than the speedo cable and the steering.... Jeff.

I got in there and looked where the speedo cable is going through the firewall right across the steering going through and it looks to be a fairly big hole just for a speedo..... does this go through as well there? I looked up to the bracket and I see a hole as well ( guessing a piviot point) along with a bolt hole on the top. maybe the speedo cable does not belong there and the clutch does. Jeff. I can send pictures to email....cant figure out how to reduce the size for here.

sure you can sent an e-mail, speed-o hole with an auto is most likely your clutch hole
