Adjusting hydraulic roller lifter for the first time.

Guys, I am sure this has been covered, but I did a search and came up with some conflicting info, and a lot of it was for solid roller or flat tappet. What would be suggested for preload on my roller set up for maximum performance and RPM? Bottom out the pushrod then 1/4, 1/2, or 3/4 turn?

Thanks.

I go 1/4 turn; helps avoid valve float if your lifters are prone to pump up.

Thanks guys. I just found my cam card, which I thought I lost. It had the # for Comp cams tech line. They suggested 1/2 turn. I do rev this thing pretty high, so I was thinking about going between 1/4 and 1/2. I will find out how much is already on them when I break it down.

Thanks again.
