Victor Jr or Super Victor

Combo is a 357w, 14.2 compression, out-of-the-box Victor Jr heads, forged rods, etc. I bought a toilet from Ron's Racing products...but have not set it all up yet. I wondered if the super victor would have a noticeable increase in power over a Jr?

What do you guys think? It's a bracket car only

With out-of-the-box heads I don't think that the Super Victor has anything over the Victor Jr. The Vic Jr (just port match it) will flow as much as the heads can use since the flow is dry.

I run a Toilet on my 557 BBF and love it. You will also once you get it dialed in.

I have a super vic and let me tell you, you need a lot of motor and high RPMs to get the most out of it. The super Vic works good with high flowing heads around 320@.600 lift and a large cam around 650 lift and up. The super vic power bad is around 4500 to 5000 up to 8 grand

thanks for sharing real-world experience. Looks like I'll stay with the Jr for now. I like the broad powerband from 4000-7000. Just so you know, the cam I'm using now is a 264-266 Comp custom ground solid roller with .702" lift on both. It's got a BROAD power range (which works great in my particular bracket car). I'm running 32x14 tires and 4.33 gears at a 1/8 mi. track....and still was able to run the same 60's as last year when I had 4.56's and 28x10's. I did pick up 6 mph though, from 100 to darn near 107.

I'll probably just leave it alone and bolt the toilet onto the Jr and try my hand at injection. I hope it works as good as everyone said it does....for the money I spent on it.

You'll love the toilet! I'll never go back to a carb on a race car.

How many cubes does that engine have, Mavman? (edit) Oops, I just re-read your post. 357ci...

If it's around 400ci, I would definitely give the SV a try. If it's still around 351ci, and has to launch relatively low in the rpm range, the standard Vic Jr might be the best choice.

Since you've already got the Jr, use it for now, then upgrade to the SV and see what happens.

Good Luck!
