converting my 68\' to manual????

I have always wanted to convert my 68' mustang coupe (c-4 auto) to a t-5. I had a few questions before I make the decision whether or not to do it. I know there have probably been similiar posts to this, and I am sory if their has. What are the pros and cons to doing the conversion? I am not to concerned with modifying it from stock (depreciating value). Since I have never done this before, I have a mechanic who will let me work with him so I can learn how to do it. But, I need to buy everything before we start. What do I need? Any tips on doing this? I am thinking of getting a good condition used t-5 from a mustang, are there any specific years that will only work for the conversion? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me, and any other things you think I should know about this subject would be greatly appreciated.

I know a lot of people have done this on fordmuscle. Can anyone share their knowlege? Thanks

the article in the tech.department has the info you need.I completed my C4 to T5 swap in my 66 Mustang a couple months ago and recommend the Modern Driveline crossmember and cable clutch conversion.

looking for resources as well to change my current clutch on my 3 speed manual trans to a cable instead on a bar. I replaced the motor and do not have the connection on the block for the clutch. What did you do for your clutch?
