65 mustang rear side window fell down

The passenger side rear side window fell all the way down. Just like it was in the fully cranked down position. I pulled it back up with my finmgers and it's staying up for now but the next big bump....I don't think it's secure. Something has slipped. Before I tear into that body panel, any tips for this repair?

Your roller on the crank mechanism is broken. Been there done that...you can get a kit from any of the Mustang parts houses to do the repair. It's a tough job if you've got big hands. Take the back seat out, remove the crank handle, then remove the side panel. You'll be able to see the rollers and all of the bolts holding the mechanism to the chassis.

beegshot is right on. The same thing happened to me last summer. It's a simple job and the rollers cost about $2.00. I found a lot of old crusted up grease that needed to be cleaned up first.
