MSD 6AL plug gap

With 6AL, 52cc chamber 289 HiPo heads and Autolite AR-32 plugs, I ran a gap of .055; with the 60cc chamber Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads and NGK #8s I run .045. These provided the best ETs.

The more compression you run, the smaller the gap, and vice versa. On my 12:1 351 W, I run .050, on my 9.5:1 351C, I run .080.

FTI., Did a little experimenting with just this subject.
Mine's only 14.1 to 1 418 stroker, but here's the results.
Went from .035" to .045". No diff. Slowed down a little bit when I opened up to .050", but not a whole lot.
MSD is way forgiving, that or MY setup doesn't give a ****.

Either way, again, that's MY story, and I"m sticking to it.
