wheel spacers

After finally getting my 17x9.5's and 275 40 17's on the rear of my 67 vert, with the versailles rear its a bit too close to the inner wheelwells, are spacers wise to use? I am talking like 1" billet type spacers with there own studs. My only other option would be a different offset or custom offset wheel........

wheel spacers

I never had a problem with them, ran em on my mustang, and then an offroad ranger when I moved wheels around. Work great.

wheel spacers

I have a pair on the front of the 55 F100 Project (with the 78 Trans Am front end subframe. I needed them to match the width up front better with the Lincoln rear end and to match the bolt pattern up front to the rear.

I found a pair that gave me an extra inch on width and took me from five on 4.75" to five on 5" bolt pattern. So far it's working out fine but it's not a tried and road proven combination yet.

Should be fine.

One thing though, you are not supposed to run wheel spacers at the drag strip. Dont know if that is something you do with your car, but wanted to throw that out there.

wheel spacers

Just to let you know. I recently put some 1" wheel spacers on my '70. I found them on ebay for $150 for a set of four, and they are very nice billet aluminum spacers. The only problem is that they come with pressed in metric 12mm studs so I had to buy some more lug nuts, not a big deal just more $.
