FMX ISSUES - YOU HAD ANY ???

I have a fully rebuilt fmx with a 3000 stall thats done only two weeks work in my 302 71 Fairlane. The bastard thing has started slipping right up to 7000rpm, it stalls up correctly in first and reverse(as I was also told, thats how u check a good stall) but when you shift, the box changes and will sort of free rev if you like to call it, right through the rev range and pick up again where ever it likes.....And yes the fluid levels are correct,as i have had three different people check them, just to make sure.(that **** is hard to see on a hot dip stick) But she's booked in at the trans shop tomorrow, and i thought id ask and see what anyone else had experienced...

Thankyou all..
Troy

Been building these since '86 when I couldn't afford to take mine in. Always ran great. But like any tranny, when built wrong -- they'll slip. Sounds like they screwed something up.

Hey guys,Thankyou for the reply's

The shop said she certainly **** herself, the manual valve bodie had let a ball go (probably because it was undersized in the first place) which has fallen down into some other ****,and grated, crunched, smashed some more **** and now im up for a rebuild. We are yet to talk and discuss how much they are coming to the party with. Im not happy,as you can imagine as the box has only done 250 km since new,one dyno run and not even a burnout yet!! RIPPED OFF !!
