No time to re-invent the wheel and no manuel

so I could use a talk through on a heater core replacement on my 78 Ranchero, no A/C . With a plate in my neck I don't want to spend any more time under the dash than I have to, thanks all

Drain the cooloing system. Disconnect the 2 hoses at the firewall, plug them up to avoid a spill. At the heater assembly remove all the nuts holding it to the dash, disconnect the cables from the heater unit, disconnect the plugs for the blower motor and the resistor, remove the glove box for clearance, remove the 2 bolts and nuts holding the right air duct control to the panel. remove 2 screws holding the right air duct , Now remove the heater as an assembly. once it is on the bench, remove the heater core cover and pad and slide it out, transfer pads to new core and install in case, If you had an A/C chero it would be a lot easier cause the core sits in a box under the hood, Hope this helps , good luck!

If it's not leaking, just not giving you hot air, try disconnecting the hoses at the firewall and blowing some high pressure air through it.

Thank you, and not only leaking but the only snag when I replaced the 351m with the 351W I put together for it was during the cam run in the one heater core nipple started leaking then snapped off. i guess I have about 2 months to fix it.
