Fabrication Q ... tail lights ... Frenching them into a rollpan

I have the tail lights for the effie project they are (four) perfectly round lights and are 5 and 13/16" in diameter. Looks like I need a 6" ID tube to mount them in, Am I simply looking for 6"ID thinwall steel tubing ... or is there a better way to go about it?

Before I get carried away on these ...

I'd be glad to hear if anyone has some ideas that simplify this process?

obvously a two stage process

#1 get the four lights mounted in the tubes.

#2 get the tubes mounted in the roll pan

As for stage two, I don't have the roll pan yet so I am currently going to focus on getting the lights in the tubes.

If you know someone with a sheet metal roller you can make the tubes very easily. Just use about .032 or thinner metal and it should be cheap....probably less than $20
