D0VE-A ?

Olli,

The D0VE block is a desireable piece as it has the thick main webbing of the four bolt main blocks but machined for two bolt mains. These blocks have very good cylinder wall thickness and can easily be converted to the splayed bolt main cap configuration. Modified thusly these blocks can handle 800HP reliably. Getting this motor for a low price would be a wise aquisition as it should also have the early small chamber heads. For more info on the potential of these engines, check out 460Ford.com.

Aufwiedersehn,

Ric

D0VE-A ?

Thanks for the info,ric!
I have a warmed up D0VE 460 in my MK3 and it runs like crazy.
Always wanted a spare block, cause the 34 year old engines buttom end is untouched..High comp is fine over here, since 100okt is available at every station(but 5 times the price of the US..LOL).
VIELEN DANK!

D0VE-A ?

bosselim, the guy was probably talking about D0VE-A heads....but good chance it may have a D0VE-A block but not always. Think the D0VE-A block was a 70 1/2 production start.

D0VE-A heads are the same as all the other D0VE heads.

D0VE-A ?

While on the subject....I was at the scrap metal recycler the other day and found either a 429 or 460 block with the casting C9VE on it. Any good?

Guy wants $25 for it. No main caps.
