Need advice on 2V heads. Also cam advice.

I am building some 2V open chambered heads and would like to use some good stainless 1 peice valves that I already have. They are 4V sizes of 2.19 and 1.76.
Are they too big for the 2V's? The machine shop I am using is going to do some bowl work and gasket match on the heads. Should I use the 4V valves I already have or buy new 2V size valves??

Need cam recomendation to go with the ported 2V open heads. Compression is 9.4 to 1.
Vehicle is '71 Ranchero. Weight 3500 lbs.
Trans. is C4, 2500 Stall converter.
Rear gear is 3:70 detroit locker.
Planned use of vehicle is strong street. RPM range 2500 5800.
Would like to have 350 to 375 FWHP.

Hey RL, its me again TorinoStyle!
I would surely stick with the 2V valve size so it does'nt hurt the torque. What happens is with the 2V head, you have a decent size port with a nice cross section thats not too big or not too small. With the bigger 4V size valves in it, the rapidly moving column of air/fuel mixture suddenly reaches this big wide open bowl with a big valve and the airflow is disrupted, causing the column of air to suddenly slow down before entering the cylinder. Since it enters at a slower speed, it starts to tumble and less of the air makes it into the cylinder.
The 2V size valve and bowl will hep keep the velocity up to speed where more of it will make it into the cylinder.
Hope Im not confusing you. This is what I have witnessed on a flowbench at a reputable race engine shop.

For your purpose, the 4V valves won't hurt anything. They do cause a disrution in flow after .450 lift, depending on how the intake port is worked. Mine has them, wish I'd stuck with 2V''s but the car runs strong so you won't hear me crying about it.

For that setup, I'd look at a 214/224 cam, unless you really port the crap out of the exhaust - then the 2V exhaust will flow nearly what the intake does and you really don't need the extra exhaust duration.
