650 Mighty Demon??

I was generally only refferencing the look of the carb...( the top end reminds me of a Dominator 1100. I have heard of these demons but only in passing, and dont know if they are worth a crap. I need a 4bbl and intake for my 390, this 650 demon is on an alum. int. and they are fairly new and the bidding starts at $250. Is it worth it?

When tuned correctly, they make very good carbs.

Having no choke in the winter sucks. I did it for a while when I got my '68 running again with a manual choke carb (no manual choke cable in the car). If you don't mind feathering the gas for a while and watiing for it to warm up then it'll be fine, but I don't recommend having no choke on a daily driver if it gets cold where you live. It can really suck when you are running late.

I may go for it then, it's only 1.3 miles to the shop from home...

But I still would rather have a Tri Power on it...

You can run anything you want. I run w/o a choke on the Falcon, but I have lots of patience with it. Takes about 8 minutes to get it running at near operating temp for it to drive right.

For a normal daily driver, I'd advise an Edelbrock Performer carb with an electric choke.

For the money I don't see how you can beat a Demon carb. I have had a few of them and they are way nicer then any edlebrock or holley I have had. GO for it......
