Fuel leak in Bigs carb

I pulled off the vacumm hose going to the back of the carb the other day and noticed there was a little fuel on the inside of it. Is the carb base gasket the possible source for this leak? The carb is practically new. I pulled the carb off and there is some fuel seapage back there.

Fuel leak in Bigs carb

I have the same problem with my biggs 650. although I don't think it has anything to do with bigs carbs, I have always been told the holley's leak so I haven't bothered to figure it out. mine has the weirdest leak, I can't really tell where it's coming from either. I ran my finger under the bottom of the bowls and it's dry, I tightened them some more, same leak, it only leaks when the car sits, for like a week or more, and its only on the passenger side, it leaks right down the intake from the front and rear of the carb and puddles, not a whole lot though. I tightened down the base to the carb and got a new intake gasket, that didn't help. It's such an odd leak cause I really can't pinpoint the source. although I suspect it to be the gasket between the base and the main body. for now I'll just live with it, other wise this carb is flawless.

So should I just pull the base off and replace the gasket?
