1978 Thunderbird Parts ?
There are quite a few parts worth keeping from a '78 'Bird. Definitely the front discs setup complete with spindles, M/C and combination valve for a Galaxie conversion, front sway bars can be made to fit '65-up Galaxies by drilling a couple of holes, the 351M as 400 buildups are becoming more popular, and there's always the 9' rear end. As to the FMX/C4 behind an "M ", some had one, some the other. Ford seemed to use whichever tranny they had in stock. If the 'Bird has a C4, that bellhousing will work behind a 460 even if the tranny is toast.
The '77-'79 'Birds have a definite following, and a few items in demand are rear bumper liners, rear bumper supports, and inner front fender wells if they're rustfree. I'd be interested in the pot metal trim that goes around the opera and rear quarter windows if they're in clean shape with no corrosion for my '79. If the tranny is a C4, I might be interested in the bell too.
