full quarter panel

started to do my full quarter yesterday this is the be for picture
the quarter panel and this was how i got the car.



and the side of the trunk floor pan



then i got all the lead body filler that factory used off of it then started disassembly
heres it in the process





and all of it disassembled



and then it being fitted
it fitted right into place



and then started on the wheel house



and i was going to take the wheel housings out and weld the new ones in tomorrow [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]

ohhhh....got some not so pleasant flashbacks from that. Did my passenger side about a year ago. I took so long to fit the repop quarter I had, I was worn out with quarter panels for a while. Haven't made it to the driver side yet., but its on the list. I hate rusty northern cars.

Looks nice ad good work.

You are a first-rate craftsman! Doing a quarter panel right takes real skill. I know - years ago I tried to to "repair" a rusted-out 1/4 on my '67 using a piece of junkyard sheet metal. I didn't know much about welding thin metal and had all sorts of warping & distrortion problems. It looked terrible! Fixing small dings is one thing, but you really gotta know what you're doing to replace a full panel.[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_bow.gif[/img]

after 18 hours in the garage i finally got it out






then got the new ones fitted in








and what i finished last week
double stiched top and bottom

damn im working on my floors now in my 66 1/4s are out of the question. but i am oging to look at a 70 mach with all the metal finished this week sometime. good work hope the car get sfinished soon for ya
