Dual Point Distributor rebuild

I trying to find a source of Ford dual point distributor parts and/or rebuilding house to restore my dual point. I seem to remeber reading an article in Mustang Monthly that referenced a shop that did that work but I can't find it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

unless this rebuild is for a "correct" restoration, your better off with an electronic distributor. Any napa or other auto place should have a points kit for it. What king of parts is your dizzy missing? Is it complete but just old?

Here is a link on setting your points.

Dual Point Distributor rebuild

Hey, massaging points is an art! Both of my 429 Mercs are running single-point setups, but I've been thinking of converting one of them to duals also. By the way, while they cost a few bucks more, I've found the Accel points seem to make for more precise high-RPM firing with their heavier spring.

From what I've heard, duals are trickier to dial in but the way I see it is you can squeeze more juice out of the coil while using period-correct technology. Last time I checked, Obsolete Ford Parts (http://www.obsoletefordparts.com) had conversion kits (plate, points, etc.) for around $40 or so. The easy way out would be to use one of those Pertronix electronic conversion kits but I'd say stick with points...

Keep the points, and hook up an MSD 6AL to it and you will have an awesome spark, but if the box ever takes a crap you can get home on points alone. The dizzy will now tell the box when to fire, and they will carry very little voltage and they will last a very long time. I have points on all my cars, including my race car, and they do not miss a beat.
