How much ET will it pick up?

I have a 68 mustang that has run 8.20 in the 1/8th
351W
Stock 1970 windor heads mild port
Comps 282S 236@50 528 lift 110LS
9:5:1
RPM intake 750 Dp
4.56 C6 10" PTC 4200 stall
has been 1.69 8.20 84 mph

Over the winter I swapped to a C4 and 8"ATI they said would flash 4300-4500
Also switched to a Bullet hydraulic 231/239@50 517/541 106LS which they said would be huge improvement of my comp cam

Just wondering how much ET can I can expect to pick up?

Bob at Bullet Cams felt that since I was shifting at 6000 there was no need to run a solid and that the split duration and especially the tight lobe seperation would make a huge difference with my heads and compression.

I agree that if you're shifting at 6000 then no reason for the solid lifter cam, but with restrictive stock castings I'm not sure that tight of lobe separation would be the best. Do you have a fairly free flowing exhaust, or run open headers? If the exhaust is very restrictive at all that tight lobe separation will probably hurt more than help. Aside from that, the cam should help you get off the line a little faster, and the split pattern is a good idea for stock heads. Also the C4 should allow you to pick up a couple tenths.

You'll get more out of the converter/C4 swap than the cam. The 282S was a decent match for your engine.

The Bullet cam is probably an UltraDyne, so it will have very aggressive lobes, big duration at .200" and inverted flanks. Plase kep us updated.

I was told to expect between 3-4 tenths for the trans/converter swap and another 1-2 tenths for the cam does this sound right?
