misfire help

Pulled the 532 today to swap in the powerglide and found something unusual that has to be why I'm lacking power. After looking at the exhaust ports I noticed that one exhaust port on each side of the motor still had shiny black paint and no carbon buildup like the other ports. I then pulled the plugs on those cylinders and they looked new like the day I put them in. Also the piston tops were still shiny aluminum which told me that those cylinders had never fired. Running a MSD Pro Billet, digital 6, and super conductor wires. Anyone else ever had this problem? The engine never sounded like it was missing and ran smooth. Went 11.33 but felt way down on power, you may remember my previous posts. Any suggestions are appreciated. Chris

Not good with cylinder numbers but it was the second one back on the passengers side and the last one back on the drivers side. After brainstorming with a few friends we're wondering if the Digital 6 got accidentally set on 6 cylinder which is causing it to drop 2 cylinders. Bizarre thing is that the motor never stumbled and sounded awesome, even when going down the track, only felt way down on power. I'll check the box tomorrow and post what I find. I know it's nothing mechanical, has to be something electronic. Chris

A cheap test light is a handy tool.

I had a plug wire off on the dyno, motor idled fine and still made 400rwhp.... Never knew it was off till I saw it flapping around.

Cool, I know the plug wires were on good, double checked them. One thing that I'm curious about is the distributor, pulled the cap and turned the rotor with the gear and the rotor has a wobble to it. Comes up higher on one side than the other. Any input? Chris
