Putting Holley 4BBL on 351C w/2BBL heads

I have a 73 351C w/ 2bbl heads and I want to convert it to a 4 bbl. I have a 4 bbl intake manifold from a 70 cleveland. I need to figure if it will work on my engine. The 600cfm Holley will work on the intake but my concern is th3 4bbl intake on my 2bbl heads.

Edelbrock makes an intake for this application. The port mismach will be huge and i would reccomend against it.

It will work. It fits and bolts up, but the port mismatch will limit performance. Will it outperform the old 2bbl carb? Most definitely. Will it perform optimumly? No.

Hey, it seems to me that I have an edelbrock performer intake in my storage spot. If you are interested I will look for it. I went with a single plane weiand, which seems to work better for my application.
let me know......

No, we're saying that the best way to go 4bbl on a 2V engine is an auminum intake designed to work in that application. The distant second best is to use an old 4V intake. The 2V has a pretty good port, but a 4V intake is real "lazy" in the flow department - BIG port mismatch. Stlll better than an iron 2bbl intake.

As far as I know , the Aussie 302 Clevelands with the 2v ports and closed chambers were available with a factory cast iron 4barrel which should not be hard to find .

Can our Aussie friends tell us how good they are ?

Isn't Edelbrock releasing a new aluminium manifold ?
