Passenger side quarter. And priming

I got the passenger side quarter out yesterday and getting the wheel housings out today I hope to get the quarter and frame and Trunk floor and the wheel housings back on by Thursday Then I am done with sheet metal not much of the original car left changed the
Front Frame Rear frame Floor pans Lower firewall Quarters Wheel housings and Trunk floors

Now to the priming I got this paint sprayer

I am going to do the interior prime and under the car with por15
But is this stuff good for the rest of the body? It’s kind of expensive about $47 a quart so should I buy more for the rest of the body. from what I have heard it don’t except paint to well. And if not what is a good brand of primer?. And any painting tips are appreciated

Thanks
Richard

I have brushed on POR-15 in the past, great paint! You can apply paint over it, but the timing is critical, you have to wait until it's almost dry.

It seems expensive, but you won't have to do it twice.

Personally i wouldn't use the POR 15 on the body, like it's been said ,it alone doesn't take paint well and if you buy their tie coat it's a ton more money, I think you'd be better off using POR 15 on the inside surfaces and if you want a really good prime job, etch the metal with acid first , and then use Epoxy type primer, or a self etching primer covered by traditional type primer, there is just too many variables with the POR to mess with for a body paint job and I personally only like to shoot a car once!!!!!
