9 inch rearend question

i have a 28 spline case can i put a 31 spline spool in it?

i was thinking if i had the correct bearings it would fit.

If it is a mini-spool, it will fit, but the case may have to be opened up to fit 31 spline axles in it if it is a 28 spline case, and by case I mean the part where the ring gear bolts.

I run 31 spline axles in a small bearing (2.89) "28 spline" case. 28 or 31 spool should fit as long as it's made for the bearings.
