80\'s mustangs

did they ever come with an efi setup but it looked like a carburetor setup, kinda like the chevy early fuel injection. or is this motor off something else. and i want to convert it to a carburetor setup, what is all need to complete this. Thanks for the help

There was a CFI setup in 1986 automatic 5.0s. Its basically similar to a GM TBI. It would just take a manifold swap to change to a carb. You might have to figure out a new ignition system too.

why would a new ignition system need to be drawn up, are the cfi and ignition in correlation to each other and can it just be adjusted or would a new dizzy have to be installed

If it's a TFI dizzy, it's controlled by the computer. You'll need an ignition that's stand alone. You can't take an EFI car and just put a carb on it and leave everything else the same.
