Headers, intake with 750 holley, electronic ignition. Little more cam and regular double roller timing gears. Factory timing gears probably retarded. Shift kit in the trans and what rearend gears do you have. Probably nonposi 3.00 What is it you're looking for out of it? How deep do you what to get into the engine? You could find some 4V heads and intake for more comp. Crane rocker stud kit and then roller rocker arms. Is it PS/AC?

Seeing as you want a Good Street Motor are you planning on a Rebuild or just freshen things up if a rebuild id say just port out the 2v heads 4v are good but dont do anything till 3k and a 750 Carb is to big for a mild 351c 2v or 4v in my opinon even on my rebuilt 390 a 750 was too much for it
ive been particular to Edlebrock carbs latley run great less problems then a holley i think anyways something around a 650 at most a 700 depending on your power will this car be a daily driver but yeah a cam swap gears and some tranny would would def be in order stock or automatic car do you car about milage and driveablity most likey as you said a mild street motor check out this site they know their ****

i actually wasnt wanting to port the heads or any of that, just need to know a good cam i can put in it without having do to headwork, and what intake, carb would run the best with it, not looking for anyting outrageous, just something that will sound/run pretty well, thanks

214/224 cam, performer intake, 600 Performer carb should make a very nice driver. Add an 11" performance converter and it willperk it up nicely.

Don't like it. I don't like symetrical cams on 351C's although a ported 2V can work with them better. If you have stock compression in the 9.0 range, then the 443901 (H-262-2 Powermax) or the 443941 (H-272-2) would be more appropriate. I wouldn't go over the 272 on a stocker. TO put it in Edelbrock terms - the 262 is close to what you might call "performer" specs and the 272 is close to "torquer" specs.
Re-reading your initial post, I would not go much bigger than the 262. Heavy vehicle, stock motor - torque is your friend. Over cam even a little, and you won't like it. Our nice running 302 got new ported heads and 10 degrees more duration - the compression fell to 9:1 with the new heads and the thing is now a slug.

thanks c kelly youve been a load of help, im gonna go with the 443901 (H-262-2 Powermax) performer intake, and 600 performer carb, sounds like a nice combo for a good street car, what ya think? thanks man
