I am not going to ask you why you want to reduce head volume by one (1) cc. But I will offer the following infomation for you to look at. Maybe you can see why one (1) cc is not a good reason to even attempt to do the calculation.

Hint: There may be at least that much allowance between Pro ported chambers. Changing brands or heat range of spark plugs can affect chamber volume. Grinding or minor polishing in the chamber can affect chamber volume or be used to equalize them.

1 fluid ounce = 29.6 cc
1 cc = 0.0338 oz.
1 cc = 20-25 drops from a standard medicine dropper
10 cc = .338 oz or about 1/3 ounce = 2 teaspoons

Use the autolite 2545 series spark plug instead of the standard 25. You won't have any clearance issues. I run them with 30thou milled E7s. They move the spark further into the chamber and are worth a few ponies. A friend dropped a consistant 10th off of his ET by switching from the standard 25 to the 2545, but every combo is different so the gains may not be that great.

I want to reduce the chamber by more than 1CC. I just want to know how many thousands per inch to reduce 1CC. Then with this info I will calculate how much I will mill off.
