Transmission yoke question

Friend has a '68 Cougar with no drivetrain. He suspects a previous owner had swapped a 351W in. The question is his driveshaft has 30 spline yoke on it. Can anyone confirm if this is an FMX yoke? Thanks Stu

30 spline? I bet you mean 31 spline. I don't know if the autos and the manuals use the same yokes, but on http://www.4speedtoploaders.com/shop/enter.html they have 3 types of yokes. I've been looking for a yoke with 28 splines and 1330 u-joints. I find the smaller u-joint yokes everywhere and the c-6 yokes.

Thanks, Yeah it's probably 31. I'm just repeating what my friend said. He's always looking for a "pat" answer and doesn't understand that often you need more info than he can gather![img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img] Considering the car has had a few swaps in it's life and is now just a rolling chassis it's not going to be easy to piece together what he has.
