There are people running upwards of 10.5 : 1 with turbos & blowers, but I'd stick to something around 8.5 - 9 : 1. To boost reference your carb you basically have a box or bonnet that encloses the carb, and then to boost reference your fuel pressure you use a regulator indended for a boosted application, or you can modify a factory mechanical pump with a nipple that you have a line running to that sees vacuum/boost.
