I just tried covering the valve tip with black magic marker and running the valves throught their cycles once and took a look. The new longer push rods put the rockers off centre about a millimeter or so towards the exhaust side of the head. The stock 289 pushrod put them centred perfectly. How critical is this for a mild street engine? It basically looks just like the first two examples in this link
http://circletrack.com/techarticles/4635/ where they exchange the first pushrod for a .050 shorter rod.(note you have to close the picture after you click on it to enlarge or it just keeps showing the same picture.
