2G alternator wiring help into a '69 Mustang

Not a 3G, this one was free from an '86 TBird 5.0 so it will do (65-70 amps vs 45 amps stock).
There are 3 wires off the built in regulator marked:
A (Yellow, white stripe)
S (White, black stripe)
I (Green, red stripe).
There are also 3 Wires off the alternator itself marked:
I (white, black stripe)
BATT (Heavy black, orange stripe but 2 wires not one) FIGURED this one out but why 2 wires to the battery?
Any takers on what connects where?
Thanks for the help.

Two power wires - because some dumbass electrical engineer at Ford thought it would be fun to cause fires in a high load wiring harness. BE SURE you go to a competent parts store and get a NEW connector for the power feed. They were redesigned to help reduce the chance of failure. DO NOT use the old on on the harness or fabricate one.

IIRC -
yellow is sense, connects to power feed (usually at the solenoid)
Wht/blk to wht/blk - some feedback to alternator
grn/red - connects to the grn/red coming from the ignition switch.

Bought 2 new connectors, one for the alt and one for the regulator. Didn't want to use my fire extinguisher for that. Thanks for the replies.
