spark gap

Okay here's what I have. '86 302 30 over ported '69 heads shorty headers mallory 6al hyfire started plug gaps at 40, didn't run good loaded the plugs. Changed to 50 runs much better clean brown plugs now. Anyone have any luck with a bigger gap??? Oh yes 650 edelbrock thunder stealth manifold. pretty steep hydraulic roller don't remember the specs.

Yes, you will be fine running that gap with the Mallory box. I get away with running it on a duraspark box with a high voltage coil.
