Hello i have a 91 mustang lx. It has a 302 H.O. in it. I want to put a 351w in my car. What do I have to do for this swap. I would like to make in carb. But if its to hard ill make it efi. I just need info. Please help me out. Also what would you do the the 351w when you put it in the car? Like cam, bore, pistons etc... I dont want to put to much money in it.
a 302 measures using a front sump pan ,close to 20&3/4 using same pickup points ,compared to 23&3/4 so just measure from ,the inside of your hood, for current motor, and just add 3 inchs ,hope this helps bill

If I carb it what should I have to do with the wiring? What Im asking is what do I have to do with the 302 computer and wiring harness? Or if I efi it can I use the 302 computer and harness??
Scoop im assumeing you know about EFI already i looked into this are you running an AUTO or a stick either way a 351w will blow either tranny to little pieces so gotta do that motor mounts are the same i belive since they are both the same family of small blocks also as far as oil pan i think you can just use the 5.0 pan and pickup but dont quote me on that as far as the computer goes im pretty sure you just replace it with watever vehcile it came out of but im not 100% on that either maybe you can just have your reprogrammed if going with EFI your going to need the EFI top end setup from a 351w vehicle and everything should plug in goto
