Octane Booster

This is a tangent, but back in the day I used to put this stuff called SOCAL Orange in every tank - it was basically just toluene, but worked well for me, and cheap. Does anyone use that stuff anymore?

commercial octane booster is advertised as adding 8points or 6 points or in this case 15 points, you should be aware that the points are only one tenth of getting to the next number so if you are using 92 octane fuel and add the recommended dosage of the product, lets say the 8 point stuff, now you have 92.8 octane, not much of a jump now add the cost of what you paid for it.There are a few sites out there that tell all about octane boosters and how to make your own for a fraction of the commercial stuff. Now me, I like duration , lotsa compression and long advance, so I use race gas and mix in some of the pump stuff, I may not drive my car as much as you but each time I do it's an experiance
